.Extended Hours

We would like to make patients aware that we now offer some extended hours appointments for patients who are unable to access normal surgery times.  These are available on someTuesday evenings and some Saturday mornings.  Please ask at reception for more details.

Out of Hours
For medical attention outside of normal working hours, please telephone NHS 24 on 08454 242424. "Out of hours" is between the hours of 5.30pm - 8.00am Monday to Thursday and all weekend from 5.30pm on Friday to 8.00am on Monday morning.

Cancelling your Appointment
If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone or use the link at the bottom of this page to cancel your appointment.

By giving us as much notice as you can you are helping us to make sure that someone else is given your slot.

Telephone Advice
You may phone at any time to request to or speak to a doctor. You will be asked by the receptionist to give brief details. These will then be passed on to the doctor who will phone back if appropriate.



Doctors


Dr Niall F.T. Mackie (m)MB ChB (Glasgow 1979) MRCGP DCH DRCOG
Dr Mackie joined the practice in 1987. He spent two years in a variety of posts in hospitals in Scotland and Wales on completion of GP training. Interests within medicine include dermatology, addictions and care of the elderly. He is one of the Ayrshire representatives on the West of Scotland Faculty of the Royal College of General Practice. Interests outwith work include classic and pre-war cars, with curling in the winter.
  
Dr Wilson A McTaggart (m)BSc (Hons) MBChB MRCGP
Dr McTaggart joined the practice in 1994 after having spent a year in the professorial units of surgery and medicine at the Western Infirmary Glasgow followed by three years in various specialities at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Paisley. He has an interest in medical French and is a member of the Anglo-French Medical Society. His hobbies include running and cycling and he is an active member of Cambuslang Harriers and the Ayrodynamic Triathlon Club.
  
Dr Alastair M Steven (m)MB ChB MRCGP FRCS
Dr Steven joined the practice in 2005, after spending seven years working as a surgeon. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons and performs minor surgery within the practice. In his leisure time he pursues an interest in computing.
  
Dr Pamela Blenkinsopp (f)MB BS(London 1994) BSc DRCOG DFFP MRCGP
Dr Blenkinsopp started working with the practice in 2006 having previously worked in England and Scotland. She has an interest in teenage health and family planning. Interests outside medicine include gardening, creative arts and looking after her four children.
  
Dr Alison Hill (f)MB ChB (Glasgow 1993) BSc DRCOG DFFP
Dr Hill joined the practice in 2006 on returning to her home county after working in Wiltshire as a GP for 7 years. She does family planning and performs minor surgery in the practice as well as having an interest in psychiatry. Her interests revolve around her young son but also include archery and badminton.
  
Dr Colin Haddow (m)MB ChB MRCGP DRCOG
Dr Haddow joined the practice in 2008 after working in and around Glasgow in various posts during his training. In his leisure time he enjoys playing golf and going snowboarding.
  
Dr Rekha Konamme (f)MBBSMRCGP DFFP
Dr Konamme started working with the practice in 2008. She has a special interest in family planning and is trained in accupuncture.
